Reach Your Potential

Student support plays a key role in SBS and within the teaching and course offerings in anthropology. We’ve created an environment where students are encouraged to discuss ideas, collaborate on projects, share their work, and receive feedback from fellow students and teachers. We give students the foundation to bring their potential to life.

WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT MEC ANTHROPOLOGY

“I’ve already used what I learned in anthropology at my job. I meet lots of people from so many cultures at the Airport. Understanding how people behave because of where they grow up gives me a chance to dial back conflict and misunderstanding.”

“Anthropology 200 was so interesting. Because it’s a survey class, you get a little bit of all four areas of the field. It made me want to learn more about evolution and language.”

“Taking Anthropology 201 at MEC changed the way I see culture. I came into the class not having any idea about the subject. Now I take a much different view of how I see myself and others. It’s given me a wider perspective on how we are all connected.”
